Event Details

What: A one-day opportunity for registered Scouting America scouts to work on merit badge requirements.

Date: Feb. 28, 2026

Location: Capers Hall, The Citadel Campus, Corner of Lee and Hagood Avenue, Charleston SC

Check-in: 8-8:30am

Departure: 4:30-5:00pm

To Register and Request Merit Badges for your Scouts:

  1. Register all Scouts on myCampManager
  2. Pay for participants online at Website TBA. Cost: $15 per Scout (late registration from Feb 10 - $20 per Scout)
  3. Email the following items to Dr. Shealy at shealye1@citadel.edu: a.) XLS spreadsheet to request badges, b.) scan of all class 1 medical forms for each Scout, c.) scan of MBU hold harmless forms for all scouts.

Scouts should bring to the event:

  • Medical form or Hold-harmless Form - if not emailed
  • Water bottle or canteen
  • Sack lunch (ex. sandwich, granola bar, apple, water, napkin)
  • Cell phone with parents/guardian contact information (recommended)
  • Merit badge worksheets will be provided. Scouts should bring a notebook and a pen or pencil.
