Tom Yawkey Conservation Weekend is an overnight camping experience designed for Scouts and their leaders. Throughout the weekend, participants will take part in a focused program centered on Environmental Science, Conservation, and Nature Stewardship.
Scouts may choose from a variety of merit badge courses offered on Saturday morning and again in the afternoon, allowing each Scout to complete up to two badges related to conservation themes. These courses support progress toward earning the BSA World Conservation Award.
In addition to merit badge work, all participants will join a three-hour, hands-on conservation project conducted on site. This year’s project will support habitat efforts for the near-threatened Northern Bobwhite, giving Scouts a meaningful opportunity to contribute to wildlife preservation.
